International Politics

The focus of the research area International Politics is the network of relations between the states and societies of the world. In addition to the classical topics of the research field - conflict and peace studies, international political economy and foreign policy analysis - we also focus on the forms of cooperation in international organizations such as the UN and supranational confederations of states such as the European Union.

Responsibilities

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the “Communication, Networks and Contention” Research Group at the Department of Politics and Public Administration at the University of Konstanz. Prior to joining the research group in October 2017, I was a research associate at the University of Stuttgart where I also completed my PhD (defense September 2017).

My main research interests revolve around comparative authoritarian politics and democratization in broad terms. More specifically, I currently work on governance, (policy) performance, and citizen-regime connections in authoritarian regimes.
