The Department offers an excellent bachelor's level education with a focus on an introduction to the academic discipline, the schools of methodological thought and a practice-oriented course of studies. Our objective is to provide you with a well-rounded course of scientific studies that will introduce you not only to politics and public administration, but also to management and social science as well. A mandatory internship in both the bachelor's and teaching (Lehramt) programmes ensure exposure to real-world practice.

We want to offer you very attractive study conditions: two-year study programmes with high academic value, with instruction based on current academic research and issues. Our programmes are practice-oriented thanks to their interdisciplinary and international conception, which allows for great flexibility in selecting your course of studies.

The Department offers outstanding conditions under which you can get your scientific career started. The doctoral training is organized within the freamework of the Konstanz Research School (KRS) and the Graduate School of the Social and Behavioral Sciences (GSBS). Doctoral students in the department work in close cooperation with the research work being done in the research groups and have diverse networking and exchange opportunities. They will also generally gain their first teaching experiences.
