Gender Equality and Diversity

The department has a professorial contact person for diversity issues since 2023.

The Department of Politics and Public Administration pursues gender equality goals of 50% female representation at all qualification levels up to junior professors and 46% at the level of full professors.

Thanks to the active approach of the department and the Cluster of Excellence "The Politics of Inequality", with measures at various levels, the equality goals are currently being achieved at all qualification levels. The proportion of women at the doctoral and postdoctoral level is 54% and at the level of junior professorships 60%. For W3 and C4 professors, the proportion of women is 44% overall and 46% in the subgroup of W3 professors.

The department is also striving to develop and implement appropriate diversity measures in the future.
