Study by Jun.-Prof. Sebastian Koos on "Querdenken"-Movement causes reactions in media and politics

The recently conducted study by Jun. Prof. Sebastian Koos on the composition and dynamics of the "Querdenken"-Movement is discussed in the media and in politics throughout Germany.

The nationwide phenomenon of the "Querdenken"-Movement at the head of the german Corona-protests is still largely unexplored in social science terms. A study by Sebastian Koos, junior professor in the Working Group for Corporate Social Responsibility, now examines the composition and dynamics of the movement and, in this context, also analyses fundamental aspects of conspiracy theories. The results of the published study caused a major reaction both in the media and in politics. Numerous articles and contributions have appeared about the study, such as in the FAZ, mdr , Hessenschau or the Augsburger Allgemeine. In addition, the work of Jun. Prof. Sebastian Koos has prompted the Bavarian State Parliament to invite the renowned Konstanz scholar to the constituting conference of the Landtagsforum "Antworten" on conspiracy theories. An official report on the kick-off meeting has already been published on the website of the Bavarian State Parliament.
