• Team Global Inequalities

    Numerous interrelated societal inequalities, either between or within states, shape International Politics. While political and socio-economic inequalities influence how states interact with each other, international cooperation such as trade, foreign direct investment, and development aid may mitigate or reinforce them. Our research group focuses on examining the underlying causal mechanisms with a special interest in the role of climate change in these processes.

Niklas Hänze receives Christiane-Rajewsky-Price

Niklas Hänze was awarded the Christiane-Rajewsky-Price 2023 by the German Association for Peace and Conflict Studies for this master thesis titled "Reversing the Causal Arrow: The Nexus Between Armed Conflict and Natural Disasters". The price is awarded yearly to early career researchers for an outstanding contribution to the field of peace and conflict studies.
