I am a Professor of Comparative Politics at the Department of Politics & Public Administration at the University of Konstanz. Before coming to Konstanz, I was associate professor in political science at the University of Toronto and held a post-doc position at the Max-Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne, Germany. I received my doctorate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Washington in Seattle. My research concentrates on public policy in advanced democracies, comparative political economy, political methodology, and budgetary politics. I am directing the German Policy Agendas project which is part of the Comparative Agendas Project. In 2022-23, I am fellow at the Center for Advanced Studies in the Behavioural Sciences.
