Prof. Dr. Christian Breunig

 Bio

I am a Professor of Comparative Politics at the Department of Politics & Public Administration at the University of Konstanz. Before coming to Konstanz, I was associate professor in political science at the University of Toronto and held a post-doc position at the Max-Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne, Germany. I received my doctorate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Washington in Seattle. In 2022-23, I was fellow at the Center for Advanced Studies in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. My research concentrates on questions of representation, public policy, and political economy in advanced democracies. My work has been funded by national and international grant agencies, published in the top outlets of political science and public administration, and was awarded with three prizes by the American Political Science Association.
