Vanessa Mueden

Vanessa is a research assistant at the chair of Public Administration and Organization Theory. She works within the project “Linguistic Analysis of Public Service Encounters”, which aims to measure and systematically study communication in face-to-face interactions between citizens and bureaucrats. 

Vanessa holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Mannheim where she worked in different quantitative and qualitative research projects, amongst others at the Collaborative Research Center SFB 884 “Political Economy of Reforms”. Alongside her studies in Mannheim, she also worked for the Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research and completed internships at the German Embassy in Washington D.C. (USA) and the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights in Arusha (Tanzania). 

Currently she is enrolled in the master’s program “Political Economy" at the University of Konstanz and will spend two semesters at the Sciences Po Paris as part of her studies.
