Research

Most recently, I have been working on subjective well-being in terms of its economic, social and political determinants, its relationship to individual and average income, and social and global inequalities. My PhD dissertation was on multilevel politics in Europe, with a special focus on the effects of supranational and transnational institutions, in particular Committee of the Regions and Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, on the motives of subnational actors to participate in European politics. My past research also includes topics on citizenship and migration.
