Call for Papers "Analyzing Strategic Interactions in Political Decision-Making"

The ECPR Standing Group on Analytical Politics and Public Choice is pleased to announce the 2019 conference on Analyzing Strategic Interactions in Political Decision-making. The conference will take place at CIES-IUL in Lisbon, Portugal from 09 to 11 May 2019. We seek both empirical and theoretical papers which analyze strategic interactions in political decision-making.

The conference is open thematically, submissions on all levels of decision-making (international, national, sub-national), policy areas or countries are welcome. Papers should reflect the strategic perspective on politics, which is central to the approach of Analytical Politics and Public Choice. Cecilia Testa (University of Nottingham) and Andy Eggers (University of Oxford) will be the keynote speakers for the conference.

Deadline for application is 07 April 2019. Confirmations will be sent out on 08 April 2019. You can apply for the conference by submitting an abstract online. To receive more information on the conference and the application procedure visit the website of the ECPR Standing Group on Analytical Politics and Public Choice at https://ecpr.eu/Events/EventDetails.aspx?EventID=136. There will be no registration fee. In case of open queries contact Patrícia Calca (patricia.calca@iscte-iul.pt) or Sebastian Koehler (sebastian.koehler@uni-konstanz.de).

The Standing Group seeks to increase the participation of female scholars, who are currently underrepresented in the field. Therefore, we explicitly encourage sub- missions from this group. We are looking forward to your application and hope to see you in Lisbon.
