  • Internationalised peace agreements between state and non-state parties, political settlements, post-conflict constitution making, international law
  • Frozen conflicts, de facto regimes, contested sovereignty in the post-Soviet space
  • Regional focuses: Southeast and Easter Europe (especially former Soviet Union), Africa

  • 2000 – 2007 Magistra Artium in East European Studies (Politics and Law), European and Public International Law, and Journalism, Freie Universität Berlin
  • 2007 – 2008 Lecturer with the Lectureship Programme for Eastern Europe and China at the Chair of European and International Law, Yerevan State University, Republic of Armenia, funded by the Robert Bosch Foundation
  • 2008 – 2011 Full doctoral scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes)
  • 2008 – 2014 Dissertation on "The Internationalisation of Peace Agreements between State and Non-State Parties" (summa cum laude), supervisor: Prof. Dr. iur. Beate Rudolf, Faculty of Law, Freie Universität Berlin
