Lukas Kawerau

I am a PhD student at the Graduate School of Decision Sciences and an affiliated member of the "Communication, Networks and Contention" Research Group. Previously I completed the two year Master programme 'International Relations and European Integration' at the University of Konstanz and a research internship with Prof. Molly Roberts at the University of California, San Diego.

My research interests cover the political impact of communication and information technologies in its broadest terms, from censorship and government influence on network structures to the use of (social) media as tools in ethnic contention and psychological operations.
