Carsten Schwemmer

Carsten Schwemmer was substituting for Dr. Andreas Jungherr from August 2018 to February 2019 assuming the duties of the Juniorprofessorship for Social Science Data Collection and Analysis. His research focuses on applying computational methods for ethnic minority and social media studies.  He is particularly interested in natural language processing, data mining and the development of research software. Results of his work have been published in journals such as European Sociological Review, Social Media + Society, European Journal of Political Research and Party Politics.
