Ukraine, Russia and Beyond - Academic Conference on the European Union's Eastern Neigbourhoood Policy, 26th and 27th April 2023

On the 26th of April 2023, a panel discussion was held with distinguished guests to discuss the challenges and prospects for the European Union's Neighbourhood Policy. Volodymyr Zelenskyy speaks to our students

As part of a Europe-wide event organized by the EUniWell Alliance on the occasion of Europe Day on 9th of May, the Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, addressed the students of the European University Network. Boesken prize for the best master's thesis 2022 goes to Samuel Brielmaier

Samuel Brielmaier, our graduate of the MA in Political and Administrative Science, was awarded the Dietrich H. Boesken Prize for the best MA thesis at the University of Konstanz in 2022. Mr. Brielmaier received the honor for his thesis on "Unequal Representation? A Meta-Analysis on Discrimination by Elected Officials against Disadvantaged Groups". The prize is endowed with 5000 €.

In an interview with the journal Welternährung, Prof. Anke Hoeffler discusses the causes and consequences of collective and individual violence, why the UN has not included targets for collective violence in its new development goals, and how development cooperation should increasingly promote initiatives to reduce violence. The Department congratulates Niklas Hänze for the Christiane Rajewsky Award!

Niklas Hänze, our graduate student in the M.A. Political Science and Public Administration, is the recipient of the Christiane-Rajewsky Award from the Association for Peace and Conflict Studies for his outstanding master's thesis.
